In
Tuscany, the most simple, yet delicious snack
ingredients always seem to be on hand. Fresh baked
bread, hand crafted cheeses, the finest oil olives, a
wonderful variety of wines. Now all you need is the
seasoning to add to the olive oil to make the perfect
dip for that fresh bread. (We also like to grate a
little
parmigiano-reggiano over the dip.)
For standard dip, mix 2 tablespoons Tuscan Seasoning
with 1/2 cup of your favorite olive oil. Some people
like
to even add a bit more of the Tuscan seasoning.
For a tasty vinegar and oil salad dressing, mix 2
tablespoons Tuscan Seasoning with 2/3 cups oil and 1/3
cup
vinegar, let stand for at least 15 minutes.
In spite of its name, this blend is quite versatile. It
makes a great marinade, using the dressing recipe from
above, for chicken, pork or fish. Tuscan seasoning can
also be used as a dry rub for steaks, lamb or pork
chops.
Hand mixed from garlic, Kosher salt, monosodium
glutamate, toasted onion, olive oil powder, Tellicherry
black pepper, sugar, red bell pepper, rosemary, onion,
paprika, and green onion.
